Mom's You Are Amazing! Emborg Celebrates The Most Important Women Of Our Lives

There are only a few more ways a mother shows her love other than food. After all, a mother is her child's first source of sustenance, and the desire to nourish her kids extends well beyond their childhood. Food is every mom's expression of love, and as long as there is love, then food will be always be a mother's priority.

Family-owned Emborg aligns with mothers in their desire to provide real,  nutritious and tasty meals for their children through dairy products that taste good and score high on quality, health and affordability. A  substantial array of dairy products take quality ingredients and couples them customer-focused packaging. Emborg Butters and Spreads are suitable for cooking, baking or simply slathering on all kinds of breads, while Natural Sliced Cheeses and Burger & Sandwich Slices elevate standard grab-and-go meals that are whipped up in a cinch. Shredded Cheese, Block Cheese, Feta & White Cheese, Fresh Cheese, Mold Cheese and Deli Counter Cheeses incorporate the gourmet touch into pastas, meat-and-cracker boards, salads and every other dish imaginable, while Emborg's milk-based products add flavor and body to every meal. Emborg Creams are rich additions to savory dishes and desserts; UHT Milks are perfect for recipes or drank on their own; while Yogurts and Protein Shakes make healthy living a delicious and convenient endeavor.

Emborg's Junior line—a variety of cheeses and milks packaged for kids—make daily baon something children look forward to. Truly, Emborg has always been in the business of ensuring that moms offer the best for their kids—and what better way to celebrate mothers' amazing love for their children than by  celebrating them in their most special day. On Mother's Day, May 13, Emborg moms gathered at the Glorietta 2 Activity Center for Emborg Amazing Mother's Day, a fun pampering afternoon for Emborg's most-loved moms.

In the event, mothers were treated to an endless sampling of Emborg products as they were given mommy makeovers and massage services. A cupcake making workshop and the awarding of the Emborg Cook-Off also showed moms why Emborg is their most reliable cooking and baon-making buddy.

Mother's Day may be only once a year, but these special women manage to be amazing everyday. Emborg products help each mom create more amazing moments in the kitchen, for their children.

Bewitch When Visiting The Book Museum Cum Ethnology Center

I was fortunate enough to experience the tour in the Book Museum Cum Ethnology Center. It was an amazing, tiring but fun day. When I got the invitation, I was so excited. As a book worm which I claim. I was wondering how the museum will look like, although I have seen some Instagram post and some article about it. Even so, I never thought that there will be a place like that in Marikina. I used to go in Marikina because I have many friends who lives there.

On that day, I was caught in the middle of traffic without know why until I overheard that there's a 3-day sale on going in the nearby mall. Crazy enough to go down the cab and transfer to a public utility vehicle just to avoid the traffic from the other side while getting a new cab in the downtown of Marikina.

I was late... but happy to join the tour which started 10 minutes ago!

Catching up in the tour and taking photos everywhere. It was an amazing place. I get to see the different books which Atty. Jimmy Buhain take home from his travel abroad. He has a wide collection of books and other memorabilia from different parts of the world. I also heard from the tour guide that some of the books they have are gifts for Atty. Jimmy from friends in different countries while others are really rare books that are limited edition such as the first edition of Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling, Miniature Edition of Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery and the Willian Shakespeare's 40 miniature book collection from Frankfurt, Germany.

Atty. Jimmy Buhain even had the smallest and the most expensive books and he got everything from the smallest to the biggest books. During the tour the two story building who are surrounded with books and materials from different parts of the world are really fascinating. However, I get sad to know that my expectation did met. To be honest, I was expecting to see a countless books and not lock up where you can have the option to borrow and read it. Ms. Sharleen Bautista, our tour guide says that you can barrow and read it inside the building but for selected books only.

Then the tour continue when we headed to the Northern Philippines Ethnology, it highlights the well-preserved and precious artifacts from wooden scooter of Cordillera to traditional Coffin like in Sagada hanging coffins. The culture and the tradition of the Northern part of the country proves that we are truly rich. Their collection was focus more in the mountain province especially in Benguet and Cordirella.

Then we headed to the Southern Philippines Ethnology, another part of our archipelago who is truly rich. The story of people and the warriors in the province of Mindanao was genuinely captivating I love the Customary houses of Maranao as well as the Marawi Hanger with Gift Offerings.

But wait there's more, because they have another spot which is their Annex who is recently open that has the collections of stones, angels, head gears over the years and different sling shots of the world.

Afterwards we headed to the James Dean Cafe where we had our snacks. Actually that day, it was Atty. Jimmy Buhain's Birthday celebration at the same time the store blessing of James Dean Cafe. I will tell stories about the cafe in different post so check it out soon.

It was very tiring but enjoyable! Visit them at 127 Dao S. marikina Heights, Marikina City. You can contact them at +63 570-4449 or email them at adb.bookmuseum@yahoo.com for reservation.

Pak na Pak Breakfast with Unipak Omelette

Everyday, every morning I always ended hurrying out because I need to do a lot of things early in our house, for work and to attend my duties as a mom.

We usually have Pandesal with either peanut butter, butter or cheese and a malt drink for breakfast. However, when my kid wants something heavy we cooked rice and pair it with the usual hotdogs, egg, and sometimes the left over from last night's dinner.

Today I thought of something that I can include for our breakfast that is not time consuming, healthy and easy to make. Until I come up with the idea of having the Unipack Mackerel in oil, not just a simple saute mackerel but with a twist by adding it in eggs.

So, I heat up the pan and open the small can of Unipack Mackerel in oil and place it the bowl, add a little salt and pepper after I beat the egg. Next is to fried it. It took me no time to do it. So convenient and so time saving especially in the morning rush. My kid usually have the boring eggs that can be partnered with his steamed rice or fried rice but this time, he was surprise to see that there is something new. He even told me that he never thought that it can be added for omelette.

Surprisingly, the egg and the mackerel are suitable together. The Unipack Omelette that I created today can also be partnered with Pandesal or breads. Believe me, I tried it and its perfectly yum!

Unipak Mackarel is a product of Slord  Development Coproration. To learn more about their products, visit their website at www.slord.com.ph.

Be a Shopwise Home Wise Mommy!

Most of the busy mom like me are taking the advantage of going to the grocery as a getaway. I personally love doing it because it helps me free my mind from the stress from work and home. Planning for the food menu is not an easy task because as a Mom, you need to consider so many things like the spoilage date of the items that you put on your cart during the grocery shopping.

Last March 3, I was able to attend the Shopwise and Mommy Mundo event as they partnered to give mommies like me a tips on how to do your best grocery trip. I was fortunate enough to be invited to their Shopwise Homewise Moms event.

There's a cooking demo from Ms. Sabrina Go of Sinfully Sabrina as she teaches us a new recipes such as Adobo Sushi and Ube, Mango and Cheese Crepes. I super it. The Adobo Sushi is a new idea for me and I will try to it at home. I have already created a Filipino Maki Using Mrs. Lam’s Rice as my Pinoy version of California Maki and this Adobo Sushi will be an addition to my recipes. Also, the Ube, Mango and Cheese Crepe is really yummy. The Ube, Mango and Cheese are perfect together and did not over power one another. Its a combination of a sweet and salty that is just right.

Aside from the cooking demo, there is another speaker who shared her tips on how to do some mom-hacks that every mom should know. Her name is Ms. Minnie Jumaquio, a mompreneur behind the Snug-a-Hug. She share her juggling experience in her career and as a mother.

There are also exciting games and raffles during the event, I was lucky because I won a gift basket and a gift pack. After the event, I was able to take home some goodies from Shopwise.

Now a day, many moms choose Shopwise as their shopping destination because Shopwise offers a wide selection of fresh goods, groceries, clothes, toys and home accessories in a more convenient way. They are budget friendly and there will be no mom is complete without the Shopwise' Loyalty card! I got mine during the event and its for free!

If you haven't got yours, go to their customer service to apply and get your Wise Card now to enjoy their amazing deals and perks. You can also check their website at http://www.shopwise.com.ph/wise-card to know more about the exciting perks awaits you.

Hortikultura Filipina 2018: Philippine Endemic, Indigenous & Hybrid Plants and Arts Festival

One of the reason why I join the Hortikultura  Filipina 2018 is because of my love to nature. When I say Nature it is the plants, tress and everything who has life with greens. Though, I admit that I don't eat greens but my love for them is overflowing. The main reason is that, it gives me a relaxing feeling every time I see plants and flowers. It give a refreshing feeling and happy smile.

And I would say that I'm lucky to have a green thumb. I used to plant herbs outside our home and I notice that it becomes one of avenue to distressed. I have Basil, Dill, Rosemary, Italian Oregano, Oregano among the rest. I would like to try something different now. However, I more love to plant those who are edible.

For those who don't kow yet. The Hortikultura Filipina is a plants and arts festival that showcases our Philippine Endemic, Indigenous and Hybrid Plants. This year, its from February 3 to 11 at the Quezon City Memorial Cirle. There will be a Corporate Landscapes, new ideas on Vertical Lanscape, Horti and Non-horti Commercial booths, Arts Battle & exhibits, Potted Plants Competition for Ornamentals, Cacti & Succulents, Dish Garden Competition.

There will be also a Terrarium, Aquascape and Vivarium Exhibit, Edible Urban Landscape and a lot more! A series of lectures and workshops for the 10 days duration from the Philippine Horticulture Society and in partnership with Department of trade and Industries.

I super enjoy the walking tour and able to get a chance to learn something during that time. Rence Chan who facilitate the tour was very enthusiast to share his knowledge to all of us in the group. He never stop talking and I admire his skill remembering all the plants name as well as their scientific names.

I love the Flower Garden, I got the moment to take selfies and pose everywhere. It was so fun doing it while learning something different that you cannot learn inside the four corners of school.

It was a tiring but super fabulous day and I was able to take home a pot of flower and a seedlings of Tomato, Sili, and the other one which I don't know what it is. Will just tell you later once it grows more.

Guys! There's still time to visit the Hortikultura Filipina 2018. Catch more activities on this coming weekends. Go buy some cactus and start enjoy planning on your yard. Its never too late... Let's go GREEN!
