Good Food Tour Philippines Features Mexican and Spanish Cuisines

It was my first time to join Good Food Tour Philippines of Food Panda and on their seventh edition, it's all about Mexican and Spanish dishes. Food Panda as well as my co-blogger friends conquered the Tomas Morato Avenue in Quezon City and had our Mexican and Spanish food expedition.

So what I did, I make sure that I am ready for this because we will be going to visit not just one restaurant but three restaurants who serves Mexican and Spanish dishes. I promise that I will be more honest with this food review because I want to help these restaurant to improve if there's need for improvement and to be more successful.

Our first stop, Senor Pollo, It was owned by El Chupacabra Group. This restaurant was really cool, I love the wall art design and the ambiance of the place. So, Mexicanize! You will feel how they use the possibilities of having a happy place with its colors reflecting the Mexican culture and people. I love the restroom, they use glow in the dark paints for the art designs.

Let's get to their food... one by one!

They served their signature Roast Chicken with sides (Coleslaw, Patatas Bravas), Fried Chicken, Chicken Sisig, Hot Wings, Grilled Chicken Quesadilla and Dulce De Leche Cheesecake. Prior to that we have the Pork and Nachos and of course Iced Tea for the drinks.

They really serve a lot of variety of chicken that's why I can not distinguish the taste aside from the spiciness. However, I find the Chicken Sisig rocks during the event because the spiciness of it is just right although I don't know how spicy the Hot Wings was because I did not try it. Roasted Chicken is tender but it should be better if its more juicer while the Fried Chicken was so crunchy but the gravy needs a little improvement because I did not taste anything in it.

There are two favorite of mine which I think would be the reason why I will go back to them and these are the Grilled Chicken Quesadilla and Dulce De Leche Cheesecake. These two was so delectable, I got a slice of Grilled Chicken Quesadilla, the flavors, the cheese and the chicken was fantastic while the Dulce De Leche Cheesecake, although, I got only a spoonful bite of it but the rich creamy texture and the flavor was unforgettable. Oh, they also serve beers and cocktails too.

For our second stop we have Dulcinea which has been serving since 1963. They most well-known Churros with Chocolate dip was not to be missed when you visit them. By the way they serve authentic Spanish cooking like tapas, sopas, ensaladas and more.

During the tour, we tried their Paella Valenciana, Salpicao, Salmon Al Ajillo, and of course the Churros con Chocolate served with Tropical Fruitshake. I love everything they served! I can't resist with the Paella Valenciana and this is the one reason I love Spanish cuisine food tour. If you happen to read my old blog post, you will see that Paella Valenciana or simply Paella dish is my favorite. 

Last stop, Alba Restaurante. This restaurant serves traditional Spanish cooking for the past six years. From tortilla, ensaladas, pasta and paellas. They have everything! the ambiance is so cozy while there is a group who will play music for you while you dine. Their place is also perfect place to celebrate special occasions with your friends and family.

When we came to the place I noticed that they serve buffet but we have food line-ups that they will be serving to our tables. The third stop was truly amazing because they served us a lot and when I say a lot it's literally a lot! We have Chorizo Fritos, Gambas Al Ajillo, Berenjanas Al Horno, Paella con Setas y Pesto, Paella Negra, Paella Valenciana, Lengua Sevillana, Callos a la Madrilena, Salpicao de Solomillo, Lapu-lapu a la Romana, Cononigo and Tarta de Quezo.

I almost forgot my name when tried their Paellas and too bad we did not even tried the other foods because we are really full. From the three Paellas that I tried I love the Paella con Setas y Pesto, they says its their vegetarian paella. I'm not vegetarian but I love it as well as their Paella Negra. The dessert that they serve is also good.

I'm pretty sure that you get hungry and wanted to try those food also. Don't worry because the best thing about it is that you can have it in the comfort of your home via Foodpanda.

MILO Philippines and FC Barcelona Kick Off Its 4th Year Partnership

The two global sports icons, MILO and FC Barcelona, embark on its 4th year partnership aimed at enhancing the quality of life of children through a more healthy and active lifestyle. The partnership brings together MILO and FC Barcelona's shared belief of youth development through sports and the values learned from them. This year, MILO Philippines launches the Road to Barcelona, a selection camp that will scout for the next football champions and give them a once-in-a-lifetime experience training in Camp Nou, the home stadium of FC Barcelona.

By linking with FB Barcelona, MILO Philippines looks to help build the dreams of kids by providing them access to the world-class coaching and venues, and inspiring them to be physically active and healthy. The global partnership was first announced in November 2016 and since then, MILO Philippines become the official cocoa malt beverage of FC Barcelona.  With the integration of FC Barcelona, MILO Philippines will continue to grow and support its grassroots sports programs while leveraging on the culture and values unique to the club.

This year, MILO Philippines will be sending a team of 10 kids to participate in an international training camp to be held in Camp Nou. More than that the skill level, the players will also be chosen according to the MILO and FC Barcelona values they exemplify. The selection criteria puts importance on the right mix of values (60%) and skill (40%) exhibited by these young athletes through the sport. FC Barcelona prides itself with five principal values that are aligned with the spirit of MILO's brand essence of nourishing ambitions and these are humility, effort, ambition, respect, and teamwork.

Local selection camp will be happening on September 2 to 3 at the McKinley Hill Stadium in Taguig City. Two deserving members of the team will be granted an all-expense paid trip in recognition of the skills and values they espouse. While MILO and FC barcelona will be granting the two kids an opportunity they would otherwise never have imagined, to train with international pros for one of the world's most prestigious sports organization, the remaining eight will be chosen based on the local camp ranking system.

Expert panel composed of executives and officials from MILO Philippines, the Philippine Football Federation, IGNITE Sports Group, and the visiting FC BArcelona Spanish coaches will carefully deliberate on the most deserving young footballers in the invitational camp. The selected group will be representing the country during the MILO-FCB camp in Barcelona happening on October. Its a four day program in Camp Nou, highlighted by the Escola football clinic, Camp Nou classroom sessions and museum visit, city tour, and interactions with FC Barcelona coaches and teams from participating MILO countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and among others.

Over the next four years, there will be key initiatives from the brand and football club to energize kids both locally and globally. Tournaments, special trainings, and merchandising efforts are among the many plans in store for the different MILO markets worldwide.

Highlights From The Star Magic OPPO All-Star Game

OPPO’s partnership with Star Magic for this year’s All-Star Game has been filled with action-packed moments, all captured by OPPO F3. This year’s exhibition basketball match featured two teams composed of Star Magic’s male artists, headed by Kapamilya heartthrobs, Daniel Padilla (Team Red) and Gerald Anderson (Team Blue), last August 13 at the Araneta Coliseum.

Fans cheered their hearts out as both teams battled it out on court. Young JV Kapunan and OPPO’s very own brand ambassador Ronnie Alonte performed their heroics as they put their teams ahead of the game.

Spotted on the red team sidelines is Kathryn Bernardo, who initiated the ceremonial photo before the official start of the game. The first two quarters started off with both teams thriving their very best on the way to the top. While some of the male artists were consistently being called out by the referees for violations, some players such as Young JV, Ronnie Alonte, Axel Torres, and the team captains focused their head on the game.

Fans were in for another treat with surprise performances from their favorite Kapamilya artists during the half-time. Among the stars who graced and performed were Jona, loveteams MayWard and KissMarc. The second half of the game got more intense as both teams strived harder to gain advantage
over the other. Controlling the pace for Team Blue are Young JV, JC De Vera, and Gerald Anderson.

While OPPO influencer Ronnie Alonte primes Team Red’s leverage during the last quarter, who finished with a total of 38 points. Another stand-out from Team Red is Axel Torres who helped pull three-pointers for his team.

This year’s mythical five consisted of team captains, Gerald Anderson and Daniel Padilla, Young JV Kapunan, Zanjoe Marudo, and Ronnie Alonte. Awarded as the Most Valuable Player Young JV outperforms Zeus Collins A successful block by Team Red over Team Blue of the game is team captain Gerald Anderson who acknowledged his team’s strong collaboration for his strong performance on court.

Despite the intense action on-court, winners of the special award of OPPO Selfie Ready Trio were Gerald Anderson, Zanjoe Marudo, and Ronnie Alonte for looking fresh and ready for a selfie anytime.
